H. Res 133 Support Pet Adoption - This bipartisan resolution will support the designation of April 11th as “National Pet Adoption Day” and the month of April as “National Pet Adoption Month” to highlight the important role pets play in the lives of United States citizens. 

H.R. 967, Alice Paul Congressional Gold Medal Act - This bill requires the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President pro tempore of the Senate to make arrangements for the presentation of a Congressional Gold Medal in commemoration of Alice Paul to recognize her role in the women's suffrage movement and in advancing equal rights for women.

H.R. 1101, the Small Business Health Fairness Act of 2017 - The Small Business Health Fairness Act (H.R. 1101) would create Association Health Plans (AHP), which would allow small businesses to band together through associations to purchase quality health care for workers and their families at a lower cost.

H.R. 592, the Pharmacy and Medically Underserved Areas Enhancement Act - This bill provides access for Medicare beneficiaries in medically underserved communities to covered Medicare Part B services from their pharmacist. 

H.R. 927, Ensure Victims of Military Sexual Trauma Receive Necessary Treatment - This legislation ensures veterans receive the treatment they need to overcome the physical and psychological pain of Military Sexual Trauma (MST). 

Expedited Hiring for VA Trained Psychiatrists ActThis bill would allow the VA to hire directly without regard to civil service or classification laws, psychiatrists who have completed residency at a VA facility. The psychiatrist would still be required to fulfill all educational requirements and obtain all necessary credentials.

H.R. __  Collegiate Housing and Infrastructure ActThis bill makes college more affordable and drive down the cost of room and board by eliminating an arbitrary distinction in the current tax code that allows colleges and universities to use charitable contributions to build and maintain student housing but prevents other not-for-profit student housing entities from doing the same.

H.R.545 To establish a one-year U.S. Commission on OPEC  - This bill would establish one-year commission of experts who would assess whether the cartel’s actions are designed to disadvantage U.S. oil producers and secure market power through anti-competitive behavior, assess the impact of OPEC’s policies on U.S. economic and energy security interests, including on innovation in both energy production and the transportation of goods and people, and make policy recommendations to counter these problems.

HR___, the Pre-Existing Conditions Protection Act of 2017This bill will ensure patients with pre-existing conditions have important protections beyond Obamacare. It will prohibit application of preexisting condition exclusions and to guarantee availability of health insurance coverage in the individual and group market, contingent on the enactment of legislation repealing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. 

H.R. __, Pet and Women Safety (PAWS) ActThe PAWS Act, introduced by Reps. Clark and Ros-Lehtinen in the 114th and soon to be introduced in the 115th, helps domestic violence victims who are emotionally tethered to their pets get out of abusive relationships. This bill amassed 223 total cosponsors in the 114th Congress.  

H.R. 392, Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act of 2017This bill replaces the current per-country caps on immigration with a first-come first-served visa system without increasing the total number of available visas.

H.R.___, Medicare Access to Rehabilitation Act of 2017This bill will amend Medicare law to repeal the arbitrary caps on Medicare outpatient rehabilitation physical therapy services and speech-language pathology services. This is a rural access issue and an issue that congress has had to deal with on an annual basis 16 times.

HR 365 - Primary Care Enhancement Act of 2017 - This bill amends the Internal Revenue Code to: (1) permit an individual to pay primary care service arrangement costs from a health savings account; (2) allow an eligible taxpayer enrolled in a high-deductible health plan to take a tax deduction for cash paid into a health savings account, even if the taxpayer is simultaneously enrolled in a primary care service arrangement; and (3) for purposes of certain tax-deductible expenses for medical care, expand the definition of "medical care" to include periodic provider fees. A "primary care service arrangement" is the payment (usually monthly) of a fixed fee to a physician practice for services. It does not include Medicare, Medicaid or insurance companies. People simply pay a monthly fee to their doctors and that fee applies to services rendered during that month.

HR 174 - Sarah’s Law Act of 2017 - Sarah’s Law amends mandatory detention provisions to require ICE to take custody of any individual who is in the country illegally and charged with a crime that results in the death or serious bodily injury of another person.

H.R. 411 - Veteran Suicide Prevention Act - This bill would require the VA to complete a publicly available review of the deaths of veterans who died by suicide during the preceding five-year period, with the inclusion of key facts, such as the total number of veterans who have died by suicide, a comprehensive list of the medications prescribed to and found in the systems of such veterans, the percentage of such veterans with combat experience or trauma, Veterans Health Administration facilities with disproportionately high rates of psychiatric drug prescription and suicide among veterans, and recommendations to improve the safety and well-being of veterans.

H.R. 299 - Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Act of 2017 - This bill would recognize that the seas around Vietnam are part of Vietnam for the purposes of presumptive service connection for diseases associated with exposure by veterans to certain herbicide agents while in Vietnam.

H.R. 66 - The Route 66 Centennial Commission Act of 2017 - This bill would create a commission to recommend activities for the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Route 66.

H.R. 36 - The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act - This legislation would protect unborn children from abortions at 20 weeks after fertilization as scientific evidence suggests they can feel pain at that stage of development.

H.R. 246 - To repeal the annual insurance fee on health insurance providers enacted by the ACA - This bill repeals a provision of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act that imposes an annual fee on a health insurance provider based on its net premium income.

H.R. 302 - Sports Medicine Licensure Clarity Act of 2017 - This bill would provide protections for certain sports medicine professionals to help ensure these professionals can continue to provide high quality medical services to athletes under their care, regardless of whether they are playing at home or “on the road”.

H.R. 358 - To amend chapter 44 of title 18, United States Code  to more comprehensively address the interstate transportation of firearms or ammunition - This bill would protect responsible gun owners when transporting a firearm between places where they are legally allowed to have them.

H.R. ____ - Recognizing the Protection of Motorsports Act of 2017 - This bill recognizes our American automotive heritage and confirms the legality of converting a street vehicle into a racecar used exclusively at a track.
